WLIMS – Wet Magnetic Separators

The WLIMS Wet Magnetic Separators (Wet Low Intensity Magnetic Separator) is an equipment made up of permanent magnets, which has a high magnetic field and the most efficient arrangement for magnetic separation with strong magnetism for minerals. These equipments are designed in Chile and manufactured in China exclusively for CIGO MINING Ltda.

Wet magnetic separators are ideally used to separate magnetic iron (magnetite) from sterile material. This type of magnetic separator can be equipped with semi-continuous, continuous and reverse flow tanks.

Its magnetic induction intensity can be designed according to specific mineral properties and operation processes.

Applications:

• For primary separation of tailings rejection, increasing the recovery rate and reducing the load of the secondary crusher.

• For concentration of ferromagnetic minerals, increasing the grade of the concentrate and the recovery rate.

• Used before high intensity magnetic separators to remove ferromagnetic minerals from the concentrate and prevent subsequent clogging.

• For recovery of heavy metals from coal plants.
